Downtown Office Space Renovation & Buildout

The team provided comprehensive project management and design services for the renovation and buildout of several downtown office spaces for the Shawnee Tribe. Our team expedited space design and will oversee construction processes and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Key services included design coordination, construction administration, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), signage, selection of culturally significant artwork, furniture layouts and detailed specifications, and collaboration with staff and Tribal leadership to ensure culturally relevant and cost-effective solutions.

Our team provided A-E design services for the renovation of three office buildings, including two two-story buildings and one single-story building. The design team assisted in selecting new furniture to support each facility, including a lobby/reception area, individual offices, conference rooms, and Tribal Council session space. Services included specification, bidding, procurement, and oversight of installation.

• Building 27 (B27): This single-story building includes a behavioral health space and office space. Glass with etched film was installed throughout the building corridor to allow daylight, while maintaining privacy in each office. Conference room spaces include larger meeting rooms with controlled access at each entry point. Light finishes throughout help to create an inviting space and prioritize energy-efficient daylighting.
• Building 29 (B29): B29 includes conference room space and Tribal Council Chambers that facilitate private, closed-door sessions. We provided design for a dais platform and associated ramp, as well as relocation of staff seating. Additional services included renovation of an existing restroom to meet code compliance for ADA accessibility.
• Building 32 (B32): B32 includes office spaces for Human Resources (HR) and Finance/Accounting department staff. Services included providing controlled access at each entrance, providing three new HR office spaces, a new reception area, and a conference room. The existing IT suite received new flooring and a freshly painted interior.
